The Mobile Outreach Program

The Mobile Outreach Program is an emergency outreach program for the homeless in New Bedford.  Our purpose is to go out into our community each evening from 10pm to 1am to find homeless men and women who have not found shelter for the night.

We bring sandwiches and blankets to those who are in need and transport those who need hospitalization or shelter.  Our only interest is the safety of these men and women and the safety of the residents of New Bedford.

This program is especially crucial during the winter months when the homeless are most at risk from exposure.  We receive no funding for this program and rely entirely on the generousity of the community to help support our efforts.  To find out how YOU can help those who are unable to help themselves and are in desperate need of your assistance PLEASE CONTACT US! You can reach our main offices by phone at:

1 (508) 996-6814

Donations will be accepted by drop off at our offices, or by calling the above number and scheduling a time when we can come out and pick the items up. Please remember that we rely on the support and generosity of the community in these efforts. YOU can make a HUGE difference in someone's life with your donations!

Any and All donations of warm clothing (especially warm socks, sweatshirts, sweaters, and thermal type under garments), blankets, footware, and food items will be greatly appreciated.
