New Bedford City Pride

The New Bedford City Pride project is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us in our efforts.  Each client of the House of Hope is required to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week of community service. We require that our clients take an active role in contributing something positive to our city. Listed below are just a few of the activities that our clients participate in each week:

• Snow Removal for the elderly and / or handicapped
• Cutting grass in Municipal areas
• Cleaning vacant lots throughout the city
• Raking leaves left on city sidewalks
• Taking elderly and handicapped shopping
• Preparing and Serving Holiday meals
• Paricipating in neighborhood activities and meetings

In addition to these activities we send a crew of 2 to 4 volunteers out each day (weather permitting) to sweep sidewalks and pick up litter around the city.  We love our city and take great pride in keeping it clean!
