Welcome to The House of Hope!

Addiction Rehabilitation Services currently manages the Beit Tikvah "House of Hope" in New Bedford, MA.. This program provides assessment and treatment planning to individual men and women in addition to single pregnant mothers and families who are homeless.

Our primary concern is the safety and well being of our clients followed by a thorough assessment of the precipitating condition which led to their homelessness. From this we work cooperatively with our clients to develop a clear and achievable plan to address these problems.

This may include vocational counseling, substance abuse counseling, psychiatric assessment and treatment, financial assessment and planning, integration of family support, spiritual guidance, but in most cases, it includes some degree of assistance in each of these areas.

Our Work Plus+ Program offers an array of vocational counseling services including job seeking skills, resume writing, job referral and placement, and on the job vocational training through placement with skilled craftsmen in the community. Some of our placements have included apprenticeships with electricians, plumbers, and general contractors.

We also operate a nightly outreach program to the homeless called the Mobile Outreach Program. Each evening at 10:00 pm we go out into the community and search for homeless men and women who have not found shelter.

We go to local hospitals, police stations, abandoned buildings, and anyplace else that homeless people may seek shelter. We bring blankets and food for those who need them and offer shelter for anyone who wants it.

These services are especially critical during the winter months when the homeless are at greater risk.
